Hi, I'm Kim
A product designer working on complex, real-world systems across public sector and healthcare
Here’s how I move through life as the design space cadet I am:
The screens I design sit between users, business goals, and technical reality
My job isn’t to choose one over the others — it’s to make the trade-offs feel invisible. That means protecting the user experience where it matters, supporting the business where it counts, and working with technology as it actually is, not as I wish it to be.
I believe every problem space starts with, well… the problem
It’s easy to jump into solutions, but I try to pull things back and make sure we’re actually understanding what’s going on before making bigger decisions.
You can be a great designer, but if communication breaks down, things can still go wrong
That’s why I spend time documenting, telling the story, and prototyping, making sure ideas are shared in a way that actually lands with the people they’re for.
One of my favourite parts of my job is that inspiration is everywhere
It adds an extra layer to everything — reading, visiting museums, or just exploring the world.
